Key Milestones of PlanMill
- 1988: A comprehensive Windows-based multiproject management tool Nokia Planner was developed by Nokia
- 1992: ViSolutions established as a spun-off from Nokia powered by Fujitsu (Ex. ICL Data) and Sitra. Visual Planner related product family was introduced.
- 1994: ViSolutions and Lotus co-developed world's first database connector for Lotus Domino
- 1997: TJ Group Plc acquired ViSolutions project management related business including IPR's from Fujitsu. TJ Planner related product family was introduced.
- 1998: Microsoft SQL Server based TJ Planner was introduced
- 1999: An innovative browser-based (Java) Time & Expense sheets modules were introduced. World's first Mobile Internet based (WAP) time tracking solutions were co-developed together with Nokia.
- 2000: PlanMill was the first PSA software in the world to receive the respected Microsoft Windows 2000 certification
- 2001: PlanMill Ltd was established October 1, 2001 as a 100% subsidiary of TJ Group Plc. Thomas Hood was named as CEO. New 100 % PSA related focus and first PSA Suite related product family were introduced.
- 2004: Finances, CRM and service request related modules were introduced
- 2006: Management buyout (MBO) by Thomas Hood, Christer Nordlund and Sentica Partners was completed. A comprehensive and affordable 4th generation 100 % browser, Java and XML-based PSA solution was introduced including both On-Demand (SaaS) and On-Premise deployment options.
